• Optional profile details: your country and avatar, if you choose to add them.
• Email verification: a temporary verification code sent to your email to confirm your address.
• Gameplay data: your rating (ELO), match history, scores, wins, losses, and answers - needed for matchmaking, leaderboards, and stats.
• Social data: friend connections and the messages you send to friends through in-app chat.
• Push notification tokens: if you enable notifications, a device token so we can send you match invites and updates.

We do not collect your contacts, precise location, photos, or any sensitive personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account.
• To match you with opponents and calculate your rating and rankings.
• To display leaderboards, profiles, and match history.
• To enable friend lists and chat.
• To send push notifications you have opted into.
• To detect abuse and keep the game fair.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. Limited data is shared only as needed to operate the app:

• Other players can see your public profile: username, country, avatar, rating, and game stats.
• Service providers that host and power the app - including our cloud hosting provider and Expo (for delivering push notifications). They process data only on our behalf.
• Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

5. Your Rights

You can:

• Access and update your profile information in the app.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings.

Trivia Arena is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be announced in the app.
